i'll be putting my first post up there after tomorrows Dr. appointment.
kthnx.
i have the strangest dreams lately, so i decided to type them here so i'll have them to be amused by later. Last nights dream was particularly weird, b/c it was a nightmare and yet sort of interesting at the same time. It started with me getting permission from Steven Speilberg to completely redirect E.T. (told you it was weird). He said i could butcher the script and everything, so...i got a team of script writers and camera men and things, and i cast (who else?) JARED LETO as lead. 'Cept he looked like Chuck in Mondays episode of Gossip Girl, still hot, but not as much as his usual self. Anyhow, I put Dennis the Menance in the movie too so he could be E.T.'s friend, and oddly, i had James Earl Jones playing the voice of E.T. (yeah, he's the same guy who played the voice of Darth Vader....) Thats where the nightmare bit comes in, b/c I turned the movie into a horror film. There were times when I was too scared to watch the shots I was directing, haha. E.T. looked especially scary, sorta like that monster thing in Cloverfield, and it killed Jared Leto's character....which made me cry. All in all though, i was proud of myself b/c it was not only the scariest film ever made (said Siskel and Ebert), but Speilberg was very happy with it. The only problem we were facing was whether or not it would appease the hardcore Speilberg fans who loved E.T.
It didn't.
It didn't actually please anyone, for that matter. It got the worst ratings ever in theatres, EXCEPT! Right before i woke up Tom Cruise (who was like, my boss) told me that the movie was highly regarded by third graders, and though it wasn't our target demographic, it was at least some more people on our side. Needless to say, the movie became a cult classic, and my directing career was no more.

Congrats Veru!!!! You're still in the hospital, but I know you'll be on to read this soon enough. I got the news from Allies LJ/Myspace and I haven't stopped grinning since, though it's still a bit hard to believe that after all of the waiting Kiya is FINALLY here. Anyhow, welcome to motherhood, and give that baby tons of kisses from her aunt Shayde.
Now about my baby....my belly is growing like nobody's business, but my morning sickness is not so bad anymore. I'm still tired like i haven't slept for months, but thats alright, i like sleeping. The vivid dreams i could sometimes do without, but eh, can't have it all. so far the only problem i've encountered was falling off of some stairs yesterday. Nothing major, i slipped as i was stepping onto the third step and toppled off of the side. I landed on my butt, and i never so much as bumped my belly, which is all i care about. i didn't get hardly a scratch on me either. A doctor at the Regency (which is where the babies get delievered) said i should be ok. Babies are very well protected at this stage, and ive had no cramping or bleeding, which is the only way the emergency room would see me. i sorta wanted to go to ER just as an excuse to get another ultrasound (i LOVE them), but i didn't want to make a big deal of the fall lest it become one.
Thats pretty much all that is new there, though. i don't see my doctor again until the 16th, and she's not the fun one. she has no ultrasound equipment or dopplars or anything, she's strictly in the business of the nether regions, which sucks. For my appointment after this one though, i get to go back to the fun doctors for a while. They rotate me all around b/c they want me to get to know all of the doctors and vice versa. Just because im considered Dr. Ratleff's patient, doesn't mean she'll be the one delievering my baby, which is weird but what have you.
Anyhow, it's waaaay past my bedtime, so i be off. g'night everyone.

Looking right at you, with it's hand balled up into a fist by it's head.
The doctor said its heartbeat was 161bpm, which is nice and healthy and in old wivestales a good indication that it will be a girl. The baby moved around a lot when they put the transducer on my belly, it moved its little arms all around, turned around and put its butt in the air, then turned back around and gave us what looked like quite the kicky tantrum. I tried to be brave, but i did cry a bit. it was very overwhelming.
Anyhow, enjoy. I'm off to watch Gossip Girl.
xoxo
